Hey Friends, drop your mask and SMILE!
Grab your sandals, shorts, and hat; it’s HERE! Yes! SUMMER is here!
We’re thankful WE MADE IT!
Stubb who cares about being thankful. That guy over there stopped and stared with big, mean eyes. He snarled at us!
TT starts crying. He needs to wear a mask!!!
“Don’t cry TT, my Terrible Talking Tummy.” Most of the people we meet have FRIENDLY smiles. Forget about that angry guy; he probably had a headache.”
Okay! Life is . . . ALMOST. . . good.
“Let’s find Tommy Tickles. I bet he’s hanging out by the ice cream store. Tommy’s pockets always bulge with delicious cookies.
Look Stubb! There’s our cookie connection, and he’s in trouble! The boys are pushing Tommy and knocked his glasses off! They’re bullies!”
It’s SUPER STUBB to the rescue. I pick up speed. Turn into a white blur and slam into the bullies!
Stubb, growl louder. Give them your loudest GROWl!
The troublemakers stop. They stare at me and run away.
Tommy’s face lights up. “Stubb, you saved me! I love you, Stubb.” He picks up his glasses and slips them on. “I didn’t do anything. Those kids always call me fatty four eyes and tease me. This isn’t the first time they’ve cornered me.”
Who cares?? Hurry up! Grab some cookies. I’m hungry!
I lick his hand, and Tommy Tickles hugs me. He smells like cookies.
He reaches into his bulging pocket. “Stubb, have some cookies. You’ve earned them. You’re a brave, wonderful friend.”
The words brave and wonderful make me wiggle, and my heart sings. I munch on the yummy, crunchy cookies.
“TT, listen up. This is urgent!! Our friends are more important than food. TT, did you hear me? SILENCE, MORE SILENCE . . . “Do you agree?”. . . SILENCE . .
TT whispers, I like Tommy . . . I like his cookies better . . .
Hmmmm. Oh well! I’ll try to convince him next time.
Friends, Run, Leap, and Jump into summer. Don’t forget to give Dad a Father’s Day HUG!!!
