Welcome Kids,

                           He Needs a Friend

TT and I are excited about your New school year and New friends.

TT checking in.Stubb, why are you talking about NEW?? OLD is good. You’re my OLD friend.  I love OLD things. I love OLD leftover food. Bring it on!!! A leftover lunch isn’t OLD, it’s DELIGHTFUL.

“TT, enough yelling about OLD. I agree we are OLD FOREVER FRIENDS. There’s no escape. How do I lose a TERRIBLE TUMMY??

IMPOSSIBLE! I’M FOREVER!! I’m your TERRIFIC TUMMY. Think of all the travel adventures we’ve had in Italy, England, and France.  I’m not TERRIBLE. I’m your OLD friend and I could NEVER be TERRIBLE.

“I’ll be watching to see what my NEW TERRIFIC TUMMY does and what nice things he says.”

“TT, look over there. There’s a kid sitting on his backpack next to the tree. He looks sad. I’ll creep over and see what’s up with him. Friendly dogs are good medicine for people problems.

Attention Stubb! Our goal is gobbling, pig-outs and food. Who cares about kids.

“Aha! My TERRIBLE TUMMY Is alive and well.”

I creep closer to the boy and wag my tail. He pets me. I wiggle and smile up at him.

“At least I have you for a friend.” I lick his hand. “I had this friend last year and now she won’t even speak to me. She’s busy with all her NEW friends.”

Here comes some kids. That tall girl with black hair is waving and she’s headed our way.

“Hey Lucas, sorry I haven’t been around. It’s just that I’ve made some NEW friends.”

Lucas jumps up. “Mia, I missed talking with you.”

“I’ve decided that my OLD friends are just as important as NEW ones. Remember, Lucas, we were Kindergarten buddies. Anyway, I missed talking with you, too.”

“TT, look at Lucas His smile is tickling his ears!!”

Mia takes Lucas’s hand.”Come on. I want you to meet my NEW friends.”

Stubb, your sweet TERRIFIC tummy just loved watching these dear kids. I’ve completely forgotten FOOD. He He

We all have OLD friends and we meet NEW ones. They come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes we don’t agree.Friends aren’t perfect, but hang onto your FRIENDS, it doesn’t matter if they’re OLD or NEW. Friends are family, too.
